2022: A focus on artists and inclusion

Artists are struggling on the heels of the pandemic and Swamp Sistas are here to help. Spring 2022 efforts include a 3 stage event featuring musical, visual art, comedy and audience interactive performances. Although not excluded in previous years, the mission statement expanded in 2022 to officially support LGBTQ+ and BIPOC artists, in addition to women.
The desire is to creatively engage a more widely diverse group of people to collaborate, artistically and socially, for the betterment of all.

Sunday, March 13

4-9PM

Our first big event since the pandemic’s onset is happening at Will’s Pub Compound on Sunday, March 13, 2022, when we’ll offer a diverse and entertaining experience for creative and social engagement, while providing networking, economic, promotional and performance opportunities for Central Florida artists.

Swamp Sistas Cosmic Conjunction Function at Will’s Pub Compound on March 13th, 2022, will feature local musical performances of various genres, open jam sessions, interactive art, and improv comedy, on three separate stages from 4–9 PM. Artists and vendors will exhibit wares in a market setting, and local community organizations will be on hand to highlight services they provide to our residents. Local chefs will present diverse and unique food for sale.

The event will also mark the release and premiere of the new Beth McKee single “Cosmic Drifter” co-written and performed with Orlando Hip Hop artist E Turn and featuring members of the Swamp Sistas collective.
