Due to the Covid19 pandemic, the Swamp Sistas couldn’t gather in person for the 9th Annual Swamp Sistas La La at Orlando Fringe. Knowing that the need to help out in the community while supporting women in the arts was greater than ever, we dreamed up a way to do both, from the safety of our own homes. On Saturday, May 16, “Swamp Sistas La La Hope from Home” streamed video performances, both live and pre-recorded, to the Swamp Sistas Facebook Page. The artists, who were paid for their performances, asked viewers chip in to help Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida feed kids over the summer months, at www.lalasummerhope.com.
